IsKlaar (collaboration between Nieuwmarkt hospitality businesses & Heineken)
.Net Core, concept, product development, ordering system, delivery platform, festival application
Yes, indeed. We can. During the first corona months the hospitality sector came to a standstill. Restaurants, cafés and festivals: all closed. The business owners on the Nieuwmarkt in Amsterdam wanted to do something — keep delivering, stay in touch, survive. Together with Heineken we came up with IsKlaar: an application with which you can order online, have it delivered and — as soon as it was allowed again — also keep track of festival events.
What was the problem?
Speed was everything. Every week closed is revenue gone. There was no time for extensive specification processes or months-long build phases. We had six weeks. The scope had to be right, the technology had to be in place, and it simply had to work.
What did ZAAKS! do?
We built IsKlaar in six weeks — from concept to working application. Ordering, delivery, event management: everything included. And because we knew that this kind of solution would be more widely usable, IsKlaar is now available as semi-open source. Other hospitality entrepreneurs or developers can build on it.
What does it deliver?
The hospitality businesses on the Nieuwmarkt were able to keep delivering during a period when that would otherwise not have been possible. And IsKlaar then got a second life as a semi-open source platform.
