LLowlands (Microsoft-supported community)
Umbraco, community platform, design
When that community deserves it. LLowlands is a volunteer organisation that is supported by Microsoft and led by the ubiquitous Henk Boelman. They bring the Dutch Microsoft community together — developers, IT professionals, enthusiasts. We think that kind of community is great. So we simply built the site. As a gift.
What was the problem?
No budget, but a real need. LLowlands needed a representative online place to bring the community together, communicate activities and welcome new members. A volunteer organisation doesn't always have the money to spare for that — but the need is there.
What did ZAAKS! do?
We built the site in Umbraco. Clean, functional and completely ready for the community. No fuss, just a nice result — and the pleasure of building something for people who are happy with it. That is also a reason to make something.
What does it deliver?
LLowlands has its own online home where the community comes together. And ZAAKS! has simply slept very well because of it.
