You call ZAAKS!. In 2017 we migrated 21 Umbraco 4 websites of LMC to version 7. No small job, but it went well. And after that? We simply stayed on board. In the years that followed, those sites were developed further one by one and have since grown to version 13. Almost ten years later they are still managed by us. That is what you call a good collaboration.
What was the problem?
21 school websites on an outdated Umbraco version — that is a security risk and a technical time bomb. Each site has its own content, its own editors and its own character. Migrating without breaking anything and without the schools being bothered by it is a challenge you should not underestimate.
What did ZAAKS! do?
We migrated all 21 sites in phases from Umbraco 4 to version 7, ensured content was preserved and guided the editors through the transition. In the years that followed, we continuously developed the sites further and brought them along to newer Umbraco versions. At the moment they run on version 13 and are still managed by us.
What does it deliver?
LMC — and later SARO — has always had an up-to-date, secure and well-managed digital infrastructure. No unexpected problems, no security leaks due to outdated software, no panic at a version end-of-life. Simply: it works, and we make sure it keeps working.
