Universiteit Utrecht (Sustaindus project)
Umbraco, design, content management, academic website
By translating the complex content into clear, accessible content — and placing that content in an environment that is pleasant to navigate. Sustaindus is a project of Universiteit Utrecht concerned with sustainability in Asia: water. Too much water, too little water, and everything in between.
What was the problem?
Academic projects often have fantastic content and a mediocre website. The information is there, but the presentation makes it difficult for outsiders to understand what the project does and why it matters. Sustaindus wanted to approach that differently.
What did ZAAKS! do?
We built the website in Umbraco: clear, well-organised and accessible to a broad audience. The design is sober but distinctive, the navigation is intuitive and the content is structured so that non-scientists quickly understand what Sustaindus stands for.
What does it deliver?
A website that represents the Sustaindus project well — towards the academic world and towards a broader audience. Research results and project updates are easy for the project team itself to keep up to date.
