How do you build a website where complaints automatically end up in their own back-office system — and half of the data also comes from there automatically?

With a tight API integration and a well-thought-out information architecture. De Geschillencommissie handles disputes between consumers and businesses. That calls for a website that does not only provide information, but is also actively integrated into the operational systems behind it.

What was the problem?

A disputes committee receives complaints and notifications every day. If those come in via the website and are then retyped manually into the back-office system, that goes wrong sooner or later — double entry, errors, delay. And the other way around: data that sits in the back office must also be visible on the website. Those two worlds had to be connected.

What did ZAAKS! do?

We built a new Umbraco website in a multisite environment, with direct API links to the back-office system of De Geschillencommissie. Complaints submitted via the site automatically end up in the back office. And 50% of the content on the site is taken straight from the back-office system — always current, never duplicated.

What does it deliver?

An efficient, low-error workflow for an organisation that works with complaints and case files every day. Less manual work, fewer errors, faster handling.

  • Umbraco multisite with a direct back-office API link
  • Complaint submission flows through automatically to the back office
  • 50% of the site content is retrieved automatically from the back office
  • Always current information, without entering it twice
